Meet Our Staff

Sunny started as Pastor and Evangelist of the All Saints Church on 10th June 2012, when a closed church was reopened and resurrected through the gracious intervention of The Rt Revd Tim Stevens, Bishop of Leicester.

Originally a teacher, he received a Master's Degree from Baring Union Christian College Batala and an MPhil from the University of Amritsar in 1980 and 1984 respectively, and thereafter taught at GND Engineering
College Ludhiana till 2006 when he moved to the UK along with his three minor boys Siddhartha, Parmeet and Samar, to join his wife Mrs Pawan George, a Registered Nurse.
He had a Jonah in the Whale moment on the very first day of his arrival in the UK when, like Jonah, God spoke to him through a storm making him sit up and respond to the Lord's Call in the midst of the illnesses and deaths of his loved ones, culminating in the birth of Leicester United Christian Fellowship, a multi-lingual and multi-cultural fellowship of Christians on Easter 2007 in the Harrison Road Methodist Church, Leicester.

He had his tryst with destiny on 1st April 2008 when his whole family became confirmed as Anglicans at the blessed hands of the Rt. RevdBishop Tim Stevens who, along with the Ven Richard Atkinson (now the Bishop of Bedford),  played a crucial and pivotal role in the shaping of his career in Christ.

Sunny underwent theological training in The Queens Foundation
Birmingham after which he served his Curacy in the Leicester Cathedral
and St Denys Evington followed by his licensing at All Saints Church
Belgrave. An evangelist at heart, Sunny is a member of the Archbishops’ 7
College of Evangelists as well as the Ordained Vocations Mentor
Directory of the Church of England.
